MOSCOW: On Nov. 26, representatives of Azerbaijani and Russian customs services will hold next meeting in the Samur customs checkpoint.
State Customs Committee told APA-Economics that the meeting aims to solve the problems arisen in the customs checkpoints, take relevant measures to increase the effectiveness of checkpoints and exchange information in this regard.
The representatives will discuss the customs operations, mutual assistance and cooperation, increase of good turnover in agricultural sphere between the two countries, and recent problems in delivery of agricultural products to the destinations in Russia and elimination of these problems.
Currently, the customs authorities have been instructed to accelerate the customs process and as a result of works carried out the export volume of the goods has increased. However, the truck drivers are holding a rally protesting against the introduction of the tolls from trucks for the use of federal highways and this causes problems in delivery of goods, which are transported from Azerbaijan, to the destinations.
For information to note that currently, about 200 wagons full of Azerbaijani products are in the Darband station.
The State Customs Committee has informed the Cabinet of Ministers about this problem.
