Adjudication Deputy Collector Kaukab Farooq serves notice on tea smuggler

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Collector Customs Adjudication Kaukab Farooq has issued a show cause notice to Yasir Rehman in a tea smuggling case.

According to the details, the anti smuggling staff of Rawalpindi Customs Intelligence and Investigation had seized 420 kilogram of smuggled tea from a bus bearing Registration No. LZV-0090 coming from Peshawar and arrested an accused Yasir Rehman registering a case against him.

The owner got pre-arrest bail from the special court of anti smuggling. The anti-smuggling staff sent the case to customs adjudication.

The deputy collector has issued a show cause notice in this regard to the owner directing to him to appear before the court within ten days.

The deputy collector also directed the accused person to produce all documentary evidence and payment of customs duty and taxes if he has.
