Clintonville Area Chamber presents 105th annual awards

NEW YORK: Awards were presented to local businesses at the 105th annual Meeting and Awards Banquet of the Clintonville Area Chamber of Commerce held at Clintonville Lanes & Banquet Hall on Nov. 10.

Awards were based on nominations received from all chamber members and then selected by the Executive Committee of the Chamber of Commerce.

Receiving the Large Business of the Year award was Marion Body Works Inc. The Large Business of the Year award is for businesses that employ 26 or more employees. Criteria for the award includes: business that demonstrates an economic enhancement to the area, provides service to the community, enhances the community image and enriches community life.

The Small Business of the Year award was presented to Clintonville Motors. This award is is open to businesses that employ 25 or less employees. The criteria for this award is the same as the Large Business of the Year award. Clintonville Motors is the second small business to receive this award in the history of the chamber.

Mathew’s Supper Club and Fox Valley Technical College tied for the Community Enhancement award. Criteria for this award includes creating a unique experience for community members and tourists, drawing people to tour the community, providing a product or service that enhances our area and significantly improving the image, character and social climate of the area.

Receiving the Excellence in Innovation award was Bill Zeinert LLC. Winners of this award have distinguished themselves from competition through new technologies, superior customer service and use of social media; have provided efficient and effective service and have an excellent working relationship within the business community.

Another tie occurred for the Quality of Life award. Those receiving the award were Clintonville Area Historical Society and Clintonville Lions Club. This award is given to a non-profit, church, service group or civic organization. Winners of this award contribute to the community through community oriented projects; engage in civic and community activities that promote the community, residents and businesses; and contribute to the community through local efforts to improve the quality of life in Clintonville and the surrounding area.

New Clintonville Area Chamber members for 2015 were also recognized and received a certificate. They included: CAP Services, Inc. Care Partners Assisted Living, Clintonville Moose Family Center, Clintonville Curling Club, Clintonville Industrial Development, Extreme Coating Technology, Forest H. Schafer Foundation, Healthcare Solutions-“The Schneidewend Agency,” Hearing Services of Wisconsin, MR’s Catering & Event Planning, The Community Blood Center (Appleton), and Veteran’s Memorial Post 63.

Prior to the awards presentation attendees were served a meal catered by Mathew’s Supper Club, which was followed by the annual meeting where the 2016 budget was approved.
