He stressed upon the development authorities to improve their performance and make their efforts result oriented. The minister also stressed upon the head of the development authorities to make solid efforts for improving their sources of income and abolishing corruption, red tapism and other irregularities from their department.

The present government has zero tolerance for corruption and wanted transparency in every sector of life. He wondered that development authorities despite having precious assets at their disposal were looking for grants and other financial benefits from the government. This trend should now be abolished and all the development authorities should make solid efforts for improving their financial base.
