First ceremony of awarding promotion badges held in FBR history

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue Member (Administration) Waqar Ahmad has awarded Shoulder Badges to four security officials, who have recently been promoted from the post of Sepoys (BS-5) to Havaldars (BS-7).

Dr Syed Farooq Jamil, Secretary(S&M) informed the participants that in order to encourage the newly promoted Havaldars, including Muhammad Taqi, Aziz-ur-Rahman Khattak, Jehangir Ahmad and Noor Muhammad, a formal ceremony of awarding promotion badges is being held for the first time in the history of FBR.

Chief (Admn) Mohammad Iqbal briefed Member (Admn) that considering the backlog and in order to provide promotion incentives to the regular Sepoys, four posts of Havaldar (BS-7) were transferred from field offices to FBR (HQ) with the approval of FBR chairman.

The recruitment rules for the posts of Sepoys (BS-5) and Havaldar (BS-7) in FBR (HQ) were also notified with the concurrence of Establishment Division. Accordingly, promotion of four senior most Sepoys (BS-5) have been made on the basis of their service record.

In his concluding remarks, Member (Administration) Waqar Ahmad congratulated the newly-promoted Havaldars on their promotion and stressed upon the officers/staff of Admn Wing to ensure discharge of their duties/functions with full devotion and dedication in the best interest of revenue generation, which is the basic aim of FBR. He assured the officials that they will be properly rewarded for their hard work and dedication.
