IHC seeks reply from govt over appointment of SM Muneer as TDAP CEO

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has barred SM Muneer to interfere in annual elections of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce Industry directed the federal government to submit a reply on his as the chief executive officer of the TDAP.

Sources told Customs Today that the IHC issued these orders after entertaining a plea filed by Senator Haji Ghulam Ali who challenged SM Muneer’s appointment as the CEO of TDAP. The IHC directed the federal government to submit a reply on December 10 on the subject.

He further said that TDAP chairman is directly responsible in decrease in Pakistani exports, and now he is dividing businessmen in other groups. He said SM Muneer failed to take any measure for enhancement of Pakistani exports. He was optimistic that Islamabad High Court will declare the appointment of SM Muneer as null and void.
