Govt considering granting concession to overseas Kashmiris on taxes: Haroon Akhtar

ISLAMABAD: Special Adviser to Prime Minister on Revenue Haroon Akhtar has said that the government is seriously considering granting some concessions to overseas Kashmiris on tax returns. He said that Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Nisar Mohammad Khan has assured Azad Kashmir traders that they will be equally treated as compared to other traders bodies of the country.

During a meeting with representatives of Azad Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Haroon Akhtar said that all outstanding issues of traders community of Azad Jammu and Kashmir will be resolved on priority basis. Among others who were present during the meeting include president Azad Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry Raja Khalid Mehmood Khan, ex president FPCCI Chaudhary Saeed, ex president AJKCCI Chaudhary Mushtaq, president Anjuman Tajran Azad Kashmir
Raja Khalid Mehmood Khan, Nawaz Ratial, Chaudhary Naeem, while Member Inland Revenue (Policy) Rehmat Ullah Khan Wazir and additional commissioner inland revenue Dr. Saquib Mehmood was also present during the meeting.
