Rs 10m non-customs paid Mark-X, Mercedes Benz impounded

LAHORE: Customs Investigation and Intelligence has seized Mark-X and Mercedes Benz worth over Rs 10 million  from posh areas of Lahore, sources told Customs Today here on Friday.

The sources said that the Customs authorities have confiscated Mercedes Benz from one person named Amir who is a driver of an influential Person. The sources said that the customs authority has also seized the vehicles including one Jeep from the Defense area.

They added that separately the customs authorities seized Mark-X from the same area. The sources said that the vehicles were seized on the directives of director Saud Imran by the team led by Deputy Director Saad Atta Rabani.

The team was consisting upon superintendent Nasir Minhas, Rauf Farooqi, Rafiq Bhatti and inspectors of the directorate. The sources informed that cases have been registered and further investigations are under way.
