Sri Lanka to import 450,000 rabies vaccines

COLOMBO: About 450,000 doses of rabies vaccines will be imported to Sri lanka to vaccinate street dogs during field programme held during 2015 and 2016, Media Minster and Cabinet Spokesman Gayantha Karunathilake said here the other day.

He said that the Department of Animal Production and Health has decided to implement a programme with a target of eradicating the rabies infected by dogs in 2020.
