Customs Court heard 17 cases on Friday

LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard 17 important cases on Friday and recorded statements and issued necessary actions regarding all cases.

On Friday, at least 17 cases were scheduled for hearing, including pre-arrest bail pleas of accused as well. The court adjourned the bail pleas of Shahzad Ahmed, Toufeeq Butt and Malik Siraj Ali until the next hearing. Customs Court has also adjourned many cases of smuggling.

The cases, including tax evasion, customs, smuggling and narcotics, were scheduled for the day. The court also proceeded on statements and witnesses on five different cases for today. Attendance of accused in 6 cases was also scheduled in the Court of Chauhdary Ameer Muhammad Khan.

The curt has heard cases of different areas of Punjab including Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot and Jehlum.
