Valydate specializes in electronic circuit simulation and schematic review analysis and its CEO, Michael Alam, says the company was nominated for the award based on its new software, Vera.

Mr. Alam calls Vera “a tool that reviews electronics in a very detailed manner.

“It helps all of our local clients compete with overseas companies because they can design their electronics much faster to a much higher quality,” he said.

The Ontario Chamber of Commerce has been presenting the Ontario Business Achievement Awards for 30 years. It said Valydate was being honoured for “for successfully implementing an export strategy that is positively affecting the small business’ bottom line.”

Chamber president and CEO Allen O’Dette said the winners and finalists in each category demonstrate why Ontario is the best place to live, work, and play.

“(The) OBAA winners are making positive contributions to Ontario’s economy while being mindful of the importance of corporate social responsibility when operating a business here in Ontario and abroad,” he said in a statement.
