OTTAWA: The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) made preliminary determinations of dumping and subsidizing with respect to certain carbon and alloy steel line pipe originating in or exported from China.
The Canadian International Trade Tribunal found on October 27, 2015 that there is a reasonable indication that the dumping and subsidizing of the goods from both countries have caused injury or are threatening to cause injury to the domestic industry.
Provisional duties at rates of up to 396.43% will now be payable on the subject goods that are released from customs on or after November 26, 2015.
The Tribunal will now formally determine if the dumping and the subsidizing is causing prejudice to Canadian industry.’
