Indian police arrest three smugglers with 220kg ganja

ANDHRA PRADESH: Police seized dry ganja from smugglers at three different locations in the district on Tuesday.

At V. Madugula under Chodavaram circle, a police team, led by Inspector S. Sanyasi Naidu, seized a lorry carrying about 220 kg of ganja and arrested two persons.

The ganja was hidden in a specially fabricated box fixed atop the cabin. The arrested were identified as Rathod Prahalad and Himmad Khan from Karnataka. In another raid by a police team led by Chodavaram Circle Inspector Kiran, the police seized 70 kg of dry ganja, a car and arrested three persons, all belong to Chennai.

The arrested were identified as Devendra Kartik, Rajesh Kannan and Ramai Kumar.

At Makavaripalem, a police team seized huge quantity of ganja late on Tuesday evening and arrested two persons.
