Multan RTO officials to perform duties as returning officers

MULTAN: All official activities at Regional Tax Office (RTO) Multan were suspended on Dec. 4, 2015 (Friday) in wake of  local body elections in Multan district which are going to be held on Dec. 5, 2015 (today).

As per details, the four executive officers of RTO-Multan will perform their duties as returning officers in the local body elections in Multan district since the regional office was packed with polling staff on Friday in respect of the  distribution of the polling material among the presiding officers of different union councils.

As a result of great crowd of the polling staff, the RTO’s officers and  staff could not perform their official duties as well as the Inland Revenue Officers could not make a progress on important tax theft cases.

It is learnt that the seventy five officers and employees of the regional office have been performing different duties first time ever in the local body polls.
