ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has requested the Finance Ministry to approve BPS-17 scale for the Customs Superintendent, Superintendent preventive and Principal Appraisers in the Customs Department.
According to sources FBR sent the proposal to the finance division and said that to consider and approve it on the analogy of same benefit already allowed to the Superintendents of Ministerial cadre in Ministries, Divisions and Departments.
Sources added that FBR already submitted a proposal to the Establishment division for up-gradation from BPS-16 to BPS-17 of the Customs Department. And Senate Standing Committee on Finance & Revenue proposed that the FBR may be requested to Finance Division in this regard.
Sources also added that now FBR requested Finance Division for approval.
