ISLAMABAD: Director General Customs Intelligence and Investigation Imtiaz Ahmed Khan has directed the Customs Intelligence staff to remain on high alert.
Sources told Customs Today that DG Customs Intelligence and Investigation has directed staff for high alert on Karachi, Torkham border, and Chaman borders. These orders were passed due to grand operation against smugglers and drugs mafias. Customs staff is also closely coordinating with the borders security agencies.
Customs sources said that zero tolerance policy is adopted for the smugglers and drugs mafias. While full fledged operation will continue against them in big cities of the country.
Sources also added that every activity is being observed by the Customs Intelligence and Investigation staff especially on borders. Sources said that director general is in contact with other law enforcement agencies in this regard.
