RTO Multan collects Rs 29.30b against set target of Rs 28.72b during first five months‏

MULTAN: The Federal Board of Revenue Regional Tax Office Multan has collected revenue of Rs 29.30 billion against set target of Rs 28.72 billion in the first five months of the on-going fiscal year 2015-16.

According to details. Federal Board of Revenue had assigned the collection target of Rs 28.72 billion to the Regional Tax Office Multan for the first five months of the financial year 2015-16. Assigned collection target from Federal Board of Revenue to Multan Regional Tax Office includes income tax, sales tax and federal excise duty.

The Regional Tax Office Multan was assigned the collection task of the income tax worth Rs 13.12 billion for the fiscal year 2015-16 . While the Regional Tax Office Multan has collected Rs 12.72 billion under the head of income tax till 30th November in the existing fiscal year 2015-16.

The Federal Board of Revenue has assigned the target of Rs 14.80 billion sales tax during the first five month of fiscal year 2015-16.

The Regional Tax Office Multan surpassed the target of sales tax assigned by FBR during the economic year 2015-16.  Almost 110 % of the  target of sales tax has been achieved in the first five months of the fiscal year 2015-16.

Tax authorities of Regional Tax Office Multan had failed to achieve their assigned targets of federal excise duty and income tax during the first five months of the current economic year  2015-16.

The FBR had assigned revenue targets of Rs 7.4 billion under heads of sales taxes. income tax and federal excise duty including Rs3.38 billion, Rs 3.52 billion and  Rs.140 million. While RTO Multan have attained Rs 7.79 billion during the month of November in the existing economic year 2015-16.
