Customs Court hears 25 cases on Saturday, accepts bail plea in one

LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard 25 important cases on Saturday and adjourns most the cases.

On Saturday total 25 cases of different types were scheduled including pre-arrest bail pleas of accused persons as well the court adjourned bail pleas of Touqeer Butt, Muzammal Huaain and Jaffar Ali until the next hearing of the cases.

In a case of alleged smuggling court of Chaudry Ameer Muhammad Khan approved a bail plea of in tax evasion.

The court also proceeded on statements and witnesses on four different cases on the day. The cases of Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot and Jhelum were scheduled for the day.

Court accepts bail against guarantee of cash and property documents. Customs Court also adjourned many cases of witnesses on cases of smuggling.

The cases, including tax evasion, customs, smuggling and narcotics, were scheduled for the day.
