Customs Court hears 25 cases on Monday, accepts bail plea in one

LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard 25 important cases on Monday and adjourns most the cases.

On Monday total 18 cases of different types were scheduled including pre-arrest bail pleas of accused persons as well the court adjourned bail pleas of Ahsan Jabbar and Ahmad Ali until the next hearing of the cases.

In a case of alleged smuggling court of Chaudry Ameer Muhamamd Khan approved a bail plea of in tax evasion. While in a case of alleged narcotics smuggling court disposes off a bail plea and send accused to jail.

The court also proceeded on statements and witnesses on four different cases on the day. The cases of Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot and Jhelum were scheduled for the day.

The cases, including tax evasion, customs, smuggling and narcotics, were scheduled for the day Court accepts bail against guarantee of cash and property documents. Customs Court also adjourned many cases of witnesses on cases of smuggling.
