MULTAN: Nepal has good prospects for Pakistani business community in the fields of power and agriculture to get the secure profit and the investors can easily move their dividend from Nepal, these remarks were passed by Nepali Ambassador during his visit to Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The Nepali Ambassador Bharat Raj Podyal has said Nepal has excellent relations with Pakistan but the volume of trade between the two countries is very low. The Pakistani businessmen can invest in Nepal particularly in the areas of agro processing, textile, garments and leather to enhance the mutual trade.
He asserted the world’s finest tea and pashmina (a fabric) have been produced in Nepal and on the other hand Pakistan is the producer of world class rice and mango so by exchanging them both the countries can increase the mutual trade.
He added that Pakistanis can get visa without paying any fee at khadmandu airport and the Pakistani business community can make certain profit by investing in large and medium size hydro electricity projects and they can bring their earnings to Pakistan without any hurdle.
He also added that Pakistan and Nepal have working groups to promote the tourism, agriculture and trade and their meetings have been held on regular basis to enhance the cooperation between the two countries.
On this occasion, the chamber’s President Fareed Mughees Shaikh asserted that the mutual trade between the two countries should be enhanced and on the platforms of SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation) and SAFTA (South Asian Free Trade Area) the exchange of delegations should also be improved for the development of trade in the region. He also added by bringing close the business associations of the two countries, the maximum benefits can be achieved.
Khawaja Jalal-u-Din Roomi, Khawaja Yousaf, Mian Iqbal Hasan, Tariq Khan, Khawaja Usman, Malik Israr Awan, Sohail Mahmood, Muhammad Khan Sadozai, Khawaja Azam, Khawaja Farooq, Shamshad Jafferi, Ijaz Shah, Iftikhar Shah and other businessmen and industrialist were also present on this occasion.
