Customs Valuation determines values of PVC Panaflex sheets

KARACHI: The Directorate General of the Customs Valuation has determined the customs values of PVC panaflex/banner sheets vide Valuation Ruling 782/2015.

The practice to determine the values of panaflex/banner sheets was undertaken under Section 25(A) of the Customs Act, 1969.

According to the details, Valuation Ruling No 605/2013 was issued in 2013 by the Directorate that determined the values of the subject item. However, the importers had filed Constitutional Petition before the Sindh High Court, which was disposed of with remarks, besides directing the Customs Valuation director to consider request of the petitioner and pass appropriate order in accordance with law within three weeks hereof.

Accordingly, PVC panaflex/banner sheets under PCT Chapter 39.21 of China origin would be assessed at $1.32 per kilogram, while customs values of the same goods of all other origins will be at $1.47 per kg.
