Khattak launches massive reforms campaign for KP

ABBOTTABAD: Khyber Phaktoonkhawa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has launched a massive reforms campaign for progress of the province and to provide its people justice and rights.

He said this while addressing the dual carriage Murree road Abbottabad project ceremony at Ghani Bagh, Abbottabad. Khattak warned the government servants and said that hospitals, police stations, schools, revenue offices and other government functionaries has to provide services without any corruption to the people.

The CM further said that provincial government has decided rather making new buildings for health, education and other departments they would provide batter facilities, new furniture’s, renovation and expansion of the services.

At the occasion the KP chief minister said that the dual carriage Murree road project with the cost of Rs 1 billion from Abbottabad to Thandiani Chowck will resolve the long standing traffic jam problem on the route, he announced Murree road next phase expansion program till Barian.

Pervez Khattak also announced billions of rupees for the different projects including carpeting of Havelian Abbottabad road worth Rs1 billion, Rs 50 million grant for the Abbottabad graveyard, Rs5 million for Abbottabad Press Club.

The CM directed district administration to ban illegal blast mining in the area and ensure only legal mining. He disclosed that the PTI-lead government for the first time in the history of the province launched anti-encroachment drive which was started from Galyat where politician and bureaucrats were residing, adding that from this operation, they have recovered government land worth Rs10 billion in the province.

“We will construct 14,000 rooms and will induct 40,000 teachers” to overcome the issues of class rooms and shortage of teaching staff in the schools of PK, the chief minister stated. He further said that they have also started up gradation of 402 higher secondary schools of the province by improving the laboratories and other facilities with the cost of Rs8 billion.

He said that health and education is the top priority of the KP government and the government has approved Rs3.3 billion package for the doctors and will also spend Rs5 billion for the renovation and up gradation of the hospitals in the province.

“To create job opportunities for the youth we have prepared a new industrial policy and also introduced many incentives for the investors and industrialists,” Khattak said.

The chief minister while taking about one billion tree plantation campaign said that they would achieve the target of planting 0.25 billion trees till march 2016. Member National Assembly (MNA) Dr. Azhar Jadoon and Members Provincial Assembly Mushtaq Ahmed Ghani, Sardar Mohammad Idrees were also present at the occasion.
