KUALA LUMPUR: The unemployment rate in October 2015 was 3.1%, an increase of 0.4 percentage points from the same month a year ago, according to data released by The Department of Statistics Malaysia.
Month-on-month, the unemployment rate fell 0.1 percentage points.
The department also said labour force participation rate in October stood at 67.9%, similar to the previous month.
“Year-on-year comparison showed that the labour force participation rate was higher by 0.5 percentage points compared with 67.4% in October 2014,” it said.
