Customs Appellate Tribunal Bench adjourns hearing of seven cases until Jan 25

ISLAMABAD: A special division bench of the Customs Appellate Tribunal adjourned the hearing of seven cases until January 25, 2016.

The bench, comprising Tribunal Chairman Ghulam Murtaza Bhatti and Member Technical Nazim Saleem, heard the cases and adjourned as the arguments were in process.

Out of the seven cases, six had been filed against Customs authorities, while only one case enlisted was filed by the Customs Department.

The cases filed against customs department included National Institute of Health Islamabad case, Expanded Program on Immunization case, case filed by Fahad Industries, Muhammad Mansoor, Sanaullah and the case of M/S Euro Duty Free Shop, Islamabad. Most of these cases were being pleaded against Customs Collector, Islamabad. Meanwhile, the only customs case had been filed by Customs Collector, Islamabad against M/S Euro Duty Free Shop, Islamabad.
