Problems of Customs agents, transporters to be resolved, says Collector Qurban Ali

PESHAWAR: Collector Customs Peshawar Qurban Ali has asked the transporters and customs agents of Shinwari tribe to start work in National Logistic Cell for its development.

Talking to a delegation of customs agents and transporters, Collector Custom Qurban Ali said that he is available to address all of their issues related to National Logistic Cell or any other custom related issue. On this occasion, Additional Collector Aftab Haider, Syed Fazal Samaad, Adeem Khan, Assistant Collector Naseer Khan were also present on the occasion.

He added that transporter community whether they are Mohmand, Afridi or Shinwari are their brothers and he will cooperate to address their issues. He said that he will play a role of bridge to make it a successful. He said that if customs agents and transporter starts working in NLC then every one will rush to National Logistic Cell.

He said that despite of dry port in Peshawar we established another dry port in Aza Khail which aimed to facilitate transporters and business community. He said that Peshawar dry port generated rupees one billion revenue and for this purpose Aza Khail and Swat dry port will further generate revenue.

He said that NLC has allotted 16 rooms and out of which four rooms will be reserved for transporters and customs agents of Khyber Agency. Earlier the custom agents and transporters appraised the collector of their problems and told the collector to give him time for consultation with their seniors and invited the collector to Landi Kotal.
