Punjab govt to give technical training to industrial workers

MULTAN: The Punjab government has set up Punjab Skills Development Fund (PSDF) with partnership of Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) where workers of different sector will get technical training to meet the international standards.

This has been told by Technical Assistant Manager Zohaib Haq during industrial development awareness seminar at MCCI on Wednesday.

He said that two hundred different trade courses would have been introduced and under this project the Punjab government would also give monthly stipend, uniforms, books and bags to the trainees whereas the training expenses would be delivered to the concerning industries and the representatives of industries could make a contact with PSDF after the perfect completion of required particulars up to Jan. 04, 2016 regarding this matter.

He also told that the representatives of industries could themselves also propose courses in accordance with market demand.

On this occasion, MCCI Vice President Tariq Khan appreciated the efforts of Punjab government and assured the complete cooperation on the behalf of MCCI.

He also said that the industrial production as well as the employment opportunities would be improved and as result the industry of South Punjab would get the more technical and skillful workers after this programme.

Mirza Ali Ahmad, Khawaja Manzor Qadir, Aurangzeb Alamgir, Khurram Javed and other members of MCCI were also present in the seminar.
