Customs Faisalabad seizes non-duty paid generator

FAISALABAD: Customs authorities of Faisalabad seized non-duty paid generator and tractor trala during a crackdown.

Sources told Customs Today Deputy Director Customs Intelligence Muhammad Riaz received credible information regarding some smuggling attempts. He immediately constituted a raiding party comprising Zahid Saleem Mirza (SIO) Main Muhammad Yousaf and Farzand Ali (intelligance officer), Tajamal Haq (driver) Musaddiq Ahmed, Muzammil Hussain (Sepoys).

The customs team intercepted a tractor trala bearing Registration No. MIB-6105 loaded with foreigin origin generator 500 KVA  worth Rs 4650000 at Khurrianwala Sheikhupura Road.

The customs team asked the driver of tractor trala who was identified as Muhammad Riaz to produce legal documents of tractor and generator but he failed to provide the same.

The customs team seized the generator and tractor and registered a case against accused person.
