ABUJA: The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Hameed Ali, has approved the redeployment of 69 Comptrollers serving at various commands, including customs HQ in Abuja and various zones of the Nigeria Customs Service.
The affected comptrollers include Jubrin Zakari, formerly in charge of Tin Can Island Port, has been moved to the Excise Unit at customs HQ to be replaced by Bashir Yusuf, and Willy Egbudin, who is moving from the Enforcement, Investigation and Inspection Unit (EIU) at customs HQ to Apapa area command.
Victor Dimka, who was in charge of zone C of the Federal Operations Unit (FOU), has been moved to the EIU.
Usman Kankara Bello moves from Post Clearance Audit at the customs HQ to take over the import and export Unit from Jubrin M, who has been redeployed to FOU zone a in Lagos.
Similarly, Isah Talatu moves from PTML command to the Customs Staff College, Gwagwalada, while Olubiyi R.O., formerly in charge of Lilypond command, takes over as the controller of PTML Command.
Madugu Sanni moves from the Customs Training College in Ikeja to Sokoto/Kebbi/Zamfara command; Allanah F.A. moves from the tariff and trade unit at customs HQ to Murtala Muhammed international airport command; Haruna Mamudu moves from Ogun state command to FOU zone c in Owerri, Imo State, while Maikarfi Y.I. moves from World Customs Organisation Unit at customs HQ to Seme area command.
Other officials who are being moved include Tajudeen Olanrewaju, who has been redeployed as controller of Port Harcourt Area 1 Command from customs HQ; and Dalhatu M.A who. moves from the HR department to Lilypond command.
Ogunkua T.B. has been redeployed to head Oyo/Osun Command, while Adetoye O.F. moves from Zone A, Lagos to serve on the Customs Board in Abuja.
Comptrollers Umar Yusuf and Enwereuzor Frances, in charge of Western Marine and KLT commands respectively, will both remain at their current posts.
