LAHORE: The Special Federal Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling has approved a 14-day judicial custody of seven suspects involved in smuggling of different items from Afghanistan to different cities across the country.
Customs team also recovered a huge quantity of smuggled items from them and three trucks were caught from the spot.
Sources told Customs Today that Asadul Latif, Shahnawaz, Noor Jan, Noor Ahmad, Hazarat Ali, Abdul Waheed and Jalil Ahmad were booked by the Customs authorities in Dera Ghazi khan. Trucks loaded with new and used smuggled tyres, motor oil and auto parts were loaded on the trucks.
Customs Intelligence DG Khan registered a case against the suspects under the Pakistan Customs Act of 1969 and produced them before the Court of Chaudary Ameer Muhammad Khan and got physical remand and after that they asked the court for judicial custody.
