China takes serious notice of Pakistan’s internal differences on CPEC

ISLAMABAD: China, taking serious notice of the internal differences on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), asked Pakistan to resolve these issues to create favourable conditions for the completion of the project.

A statement issued by the Chinese embassy in Islamabad said, “We hope that relevant parties could strengthen communication and coordination and solve differences properly so as to create favourable conditions for the CPEC,” adding, “We are ready to work with Pakistani side to actively promote construction of CPEC projects, and bring tangible benefits to the people of the two countries.”

The spokesman further said that the multi-billion dollar project is the result of a consensus reached between China and Pakistan, and has won popular support from the people of the two countries. “CPEC benefits Pakistan as a whole and will bring development and benefits to the people of the country,” he maintained.
