Faisalabad Excise & Taxation recovered Rs1.21b in 6 months

FAISALABAD: Excise and Taxation Department (ETD) Faisalabad recovered Rs1.21 billion during first six months of the current fiscal year, achieving more than 50 per cent of the target.

ETD Director Saeed Ahmad told the media here on Sunday the ETD recovered Rs 718.1 million in the head of property tax from Faisalabad Division and Rs 392.5 million recovered in the head of motor registration and token tax.

Similarly, Rs 41.6 million were recovered as excise fee, Rs 43 million as professional tax, Rs 4.7 million as entertainment tax and Rs 9.4 million as cotton tax, he added.

Saeed said the ETD had recovered Rs 1.08 billion during first six months of previous financial year. Therefore, the ETD recovered Rs 130 million more this year as compared to the period of previous corresponding year, he added.
