Transcend Information revenues down 7.5% for Dec 2015

WASHINGTON: Memory module maker Transcend Information has reported revenues of NT$2.15 billion (US$64.3 million) for December 2015, down 7.5% on month and 2.9% on year. NAND flash and other products accounted for 89.2% of Transcend’s total sales in December, while DRAM products made up the remaining 10.8%.

Transcend’s revenues totaled NT$24.91 billion for 2015, representing an on-year 8.5% decrease. In 2015, industrial and SSD products outperformed the company’s other product segments in terms of sales growth.

Transcend’s industrial and SSD products generated revenues of NT$8.49 billion in 2015, rising 32.3% on year. The segment accounted for 34.1% of the company’s total 2015 revenues. Fellow memory module company Adata Technology saw its 2015 revenues decline 30.6% to NT$20.19 billion, due mainly by falling prices of DRAM and NAND flash chips.
