SHC to hear Ayyan ‘s plea on Jan 15 seeking removal of her name from ECL

ISLAMABAD: The Sindh High Court (SHC) will hear a petition filed by super model Ayyan Ali, seeking removal of her name from the Exit Control List (ECL).

Sources told Customs Today that the customs authorities have already finalized their reply in this regard. Sources said that in their reply, the authorities will take a stance that the incident was happened in the jurisdiction of Islamabad, so this case could not be heard by the SHC.

It is pertinent to mention here Ayyan Ali tried to fly for Dubai in recent past but authorities deputed at the airport foiled her attempt as her name was in the Exit Control List . In her petition, the counsel for Ayyan Ali, Sardar Latif Khan Khosa, said that the court had already ordered to return her passport so there is no bar in her travel abroad. He further argued that according to the law if a person not convicted by court is free to go and move anywhere. Further proceedings of the case will take place on January 25.
