BERLIN: German exports saw a sharp year-on-year increase in November, rising by 7.7 per cent compared to 2014, the Federal Statistics Office said Friday.
Goods valued at 102.2 billion euros (111.2 billion dollars) were sold outside of Germany in November, making it the third-highest rate of increase for 2015 so far.
It will not take much for the December export report to push 2015 into the record books for German exports, breaking a record just set in 2014.
Exports from January through November totalled around 1.1 trillion euros.
November demand for German goods was strongest from other EU member countries. Imports were also up 5.3 per cent, when compared to November 2014.
