SC accepts bail of factory owner allegedly involved in tax evasion of Rs 529m

LAHORE: The Supreme Court Lahore Registery, headed by Justice Azmat Saeed, has granted bail to owner of a paint factory who is allegedly involved in tax evasion of Rs 529 million.

During the proceedings, the counsel for the suspect informed the court that his client factory is regularly submitting sales tax and pleaded that the FBR has registered a tax evasion case against him on baseless allegations. He appealed to the court to grant bail to his client until the finalization of all the tax returns data against his client.
