WASHINGTON: Inventec is expected to see its server revenues grow 5-10% on year in 2016, buoyed by orders from the data center sector as well as branded server vendors, according to industry sources.

Server revenues accounted for 34% of Inventec’s total sales in 2015. OEM orders from brand server vendors accounted for 85% of the server revenues and those from the data center sector made up the remaining 15%.

Inventec’s server orders are coming from clients mainly in the US and China, said the sources, noting that Inventec will further strengthen its cooperation with China-based vendors to boost server shipments to data center operators and information service providers in China.

Meanwhile, Inventec has begun to automate its server production lines to further improve the quality and reliability of its server products, while reducing its labor cost.
