MULTAN: The Customs Collectorate audit team visited the state warehouse for inspection of miscellaneous goods.
Sources told Customs Today that the audit team has inspected various goods at the state warehouse of Multan Customs. This visit was made on directions of Deputy Director Muhammad Ali Malik to inspect the goods stored in the state warehouse.
Most of the confiscated miscellaneous goods were damaged due to harsh weather conditions. The audit team has inspected the contraband items stored in the Customs which will be destroyed soon on the international Customs Day ceremony.
The audit team has scrutinized the contraband items with its destruction list issued by MCC Multan. The confiscated items were cross checked with present seizure reports and counted all items going for destruction in Lahore on International Customs day.
All adjudicated contraband items will be moved to Lahore for destruction and MCC Multan has finalized the list of Rs 6 million contraband items. The contraband items include 38 cases of 177 liquor bottles and 57 tin pack of bears seized in various actions by Anti-Smuggling Organization. The net values of liquor chocolates and tin packs have almost Rs 500,000. Almost 816 grams refined form of heroine of Rs 825,000 will be destructed on this grand ceremony of Customs International day which will held in Chief Collectorate Office Lahore.
Further, 71100 tablets of aphrodisiac drugs, pain relief balm hot massage cream, herbal formulation for rheumatic pain, black tea, zafrani gutka, beauty creams, match crackers, packing material, artificial sex toys and miscellaneous acids will be handed over to Chief Collector Office in the destruction ceremony.
About 58 various seizure cases of contraband items of foreign origin ripe for destruction and few items are going destroyed due to their passing of expiry date and these items are also declared not fit for human consumption items.
