Pakistan seeks strong trade ties with Turkey

FAISALABAD:  Pakistan and Turkey enjoy excellent diplomatic relations since long which must be translated into economic terms on fast track basis, said Chaudhary Muhammad Nawaz President Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI).

He was talking to Nida Yilmaz, former Secretary General Pak-Turk Businessmen Association in his office here Saturday.

He said that Nida Yilmaz is a close friend of Pakistan. “He has played a productive role in bringing the business communities of the two brotherly countries closer to each other”, he said and added that it is only due to his dedicated and committed efforts that Pakistan and Turkey have launched many joint business ventures while they are also jointly exploring the foreign markets for the Turkish as well as Pakistani exporters.

Nida Yalmaz said that he is very much impressed with the friendly sentiments of Pakistani brethren and it is in this context that he has decided to settle in Faisalabad. He said that the decision to set up Pak Turk School was taken some time ago and work on this project is expected to be launched very soon.

Nida also presented unique mural of Turkish calligraphy. Chaudhary Muhammad Asghar former vice president and Abid Masood, Secretary General FCCI was also present during this meeting.
