LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard 14 different cases, including pre-arrest bail pleas of suspects on Monday. The cases including of tax evasion, customs, smuggling and narcotics, were scheduled for the day’s hearing.
Most of the cases were adjourned without any proceedings because parties concerned and lawyers did not appear in the court. Hearing of pre arrest bail pleas of 4 suspects adjourned till the next hearing. Bail plea of Iftikha Ahmad, Mian Waqas Riaz and Raza Mustafa are also adjourned till new date. Raza Mustafa and Zia Mustafa were involved in smuggling and also wanted to Customs Intelligence.
Famous smuggler Behram Khan who is wanted in many smuggling cases also appeared before the court for bail which is adjourned till Wednesday.
