BEIJING: The Post Office stationed by Qingdao Customs District seized antlers of red deer, which is enlisted into Class II Protected Species by China, from within a postal parcel sent from Japan. Because the recipient had no relevant import license, the antlers were withheld by the Customs.

On that day, when examining the parcel declared as “toys” by X-ray machine, customs officers found its image unusual, and then unpacked the parcel to find seemingly red-deer antlers with one deer skull and two separate antlers.
