Saudi customs revenues increase in 2015

RIYADH: Saudi Customs has achieved a remarkable increase in its customs revenues for 2015 totaled 29.85 billion riyals, of which actual revenues amounting to 26.79 billion riyals, while the state bore nearly three billion riyals.

In a statement today, the advisor and spokesman for Saudi Customs, Esa Al-Esa said that in 2014, the total customs revenues amounted to 27.9 billion riyals, of which 24.5 billion riyals were actual revenues and 3.4 billion riyals compared to what the state bore in favor of the customs.

He pointed out that analyzing this shows that what has been achieved of customs revenues in 2015 increased by 12.5% compared to 2014, and for the actual revenues, they increased by almost 9.2% despite the fact that the value of imports increased by less than half a percentage, where the value of imports for 2015 amounted to 654 billion riyals compared to 651 billion riyals in 2014.
