LAHORE: The Excise and taxation Department has sealed 25 commercial properties of property tax defaulters in different areas of the city.
Sources told Customs Today that Excise and Taxation Department has started a crackdown against property tax defaulters and started sealing the properties after sending final notices to thousands of defaulters.
Director General Excise, Akram Ashraf Gondal has directed all officers to recover taxes on time and also take action against defaulters of property tax and token tax. During the action of the Excise Department in various regions, more than Rs 2 million of outstanding tax was recovered.
The crackdown against property tax defaulters will be continued.
