LAHORE: The Lahore Police owes the Excise and Taxation Department Rs 2 million as the former has not paid token tax on 900 of its vehicles during the fiscal year 2014-15.
Excise and Taxation Motor Branch Director Imran Aslam said that as many as 900 Lahore Police vehicles are token tax defaulters. The director said that the Police Department has assured them of paying the overdue token tax soon.
According to a Lahore Police official, they would pay the token tax as soon as possible. They have prepared a summary for this purpose and they would receive money to pay the token tax shortly.
