Hyderabad ASO impounds vehicle, smuggled diesel

HYDERABAD: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) confiscated 1,700 litres of smuggled diesel and a vehicle being used for the transportation of the smuggled diesel worth Rs 402,000.

Following the directions of Model Customs Collectorate Additional Collector Umar Shafique, a ASO team comprising Deputy Superintendent Sikandar Akbar Phanwar, Anwar Ahmed Siddiqui, Inspector Waqar Ahmad Baig, Syed Nazim Ali and Sepoy M. Aslam, intercepted a Mazda truck bearing registration No PAA-304 near super highway, Hyderabad and recovered diesel.
