Tax-related issues of exporters to be resolved, says Sialkot Commissioner-IR Imran Raza

SIALKOT: Chief Commissioner (Inland) Revenue Sialkot Imran Raza Kazmi has said that all the tax related perturbing problems of the Sialkot exporters would be solved amicably by taking them into confidence under the supervision of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI). He assured the Sialkot business community about early clearance of  all the prolonged pending sales tax claims , enabling them to work hard to increase the national exports, besides, giving a boost to the local economy.

He stated this while addressing the participants of a seminar on “Voluntary Tax Compliance Scheme Seminar” held at Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI). Additional Commissioner Inland Revenue Sialkot Tehseen Sadiq Tarar, President Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) Maj (Rtd) Mansur Ahmed and other FBR officials were also present on this occasion.

Chief Commissioner pledged to make all out sincere efforts for simplification in tax collection system of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) besides making it easier for giving maximum relief to the Sialkot business community, besides, removing all the hurdles on priority basis.

He asked the Sialkot based traders, industrialists and exporters to get the complete benefits of the Voluntary Tax Compliance Scheme, besides, seeking the active cooperation of the Sialkot business community in brining the maximum people under the tax net in Sialkot region as well.

Earlier, Chief Commissioner (Inland) Revenue Sialkot Imran Raza Kazmi discussed in details the matters of mutual interest with SCCI President Maj (Rtd) Mansur Ahmed. He also assured the exporters to make all out sincere efforts to resolve the prolonged delayed issues of income tax and sales tax refund claims being confronted by the Sialkot industry.

SCCI President Maj (Rtd) Mansur Ahmed  said that all the pending cases of sales tax cases of Sialkot exporters should be cleared as soon possible and this step would be helpful in assuring the smooth flow of cash capital in Sialkot’s export oriented industries, paving their way to flourish…#
