DG Khan Customs Intelligence impounds two vehicles, LEDs and cloth worth Rs 3m

MULTAN: The Customs Intelligence and Investigations impounded two non-duty paid cars, LEDs and smuggled cloth worth Rs 3 million from Dera Ghazi Khan.

According to the details, a field investigation unit (FIU) of Dera Ghazi Khan intercepted two cars including Toyota Vitz bearing Registration No. ARL-880 and Suzuki Alto with Registration No. MF-716 at two different spots in city for checking the documents.

While checking the documents, the drivers could not produce the required import documents of the vehicles; therefore, the officials impounded both vehicles worth Rs 2 million under the Customs Act, 1696.

Meanwhile, the Customs Intelligence in another raid has confiscated 20 non-duty paid LEDs and smuggled cloth worth Rs 1 million. The smuggled items were recovered from a truck.
