Punjab Excise asks DCOs to bring property dealers into tax net

SIALKOT: The Excise and Taxation Department has made a plan to register property dealers in order to make them part of the tax system.

As per details, the excise has issued a letter to all district coordination officers (DCO’s) of 38 district of Punjab, asking them to start process of registration of property dealers without any delay. The department will collect professional tax from these dealers.

This letter was issued by Excise Director Rizwan Akram Khan Sherwani to DCOs.

In this letter, the director has further instructed DCO’s to get the record of rental houses from the dealers so the department could collect tax on commercial rate from owners who have gave their property on rent.
