Multan Customs intelligence seizes non-duty paid car

MULTAN: Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan region has seized a car worth Rs 1.4 million during road checking in the jurisdiction of Multan city.

According to details, a team of Customs intelligence intercepted a car, Toyota Corolla X of model 2005  bearing registration no. ARM-474/Sindh and demanded the legal documents of the car from the driver.

During checking, the Customs staff found that the vehicle displaying fake registration mark. While the chemical examination also revealed that the fake chassis no. NZE 120-3307051 had been affixed on the original chassis no. NZE 121-3307051 through cut and weld process.

The Customs officials seized the car on the spot and registered a case against the owner of the vehicle as per Customs rules and regulations and put forward the case to the Customs Adjudication for further investigations.
