Punjab CM urges Russia to multiply existing $500m trade

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that the government is taking practical steps to resolve energy crisis while talking to Russian Ambassador Alexey Yurievich Dedov.

Matters pertaining to mutual interest and promotion of cooperation in various sectors came under discussion during the meeting. The chief minister underlined the need for further boosting economic and trade relations much more than the present $500 million.

He said that both the countries should move forward by enhancing their cooperation in economic, trade, and other sectors. He said that the Russian collaboration would be welcomed in the energy sector and extraction of coal in Punjab. Speaking on the occasion, Dedov said that Russia is keen to boost its trade relations with Pakistan.
