FAISALABAD: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation has seized non-duty paid Hino truck model 1996 bearing registration No. AE-1126 worth Rs 4,917,600.
Sources told Customs Today that Additional Director Mrs Azmat Tahira received information about non-duty paid vehicles and she formed special team comprising Muhammad Tahir Iqbal (SIO), Saeed Hayat and Mansoor Nasir (IO) Mukhtar Ahmad Muhammad Iqbal and Muhammad Rafique (sepoys).
The customs team intercepted the truck and asked the driver, identified as Rashid sonof Ali Asghar, to produce legal documents regarding possession of the truck but he failed to provide any relevant documents in this regard.
Customs team seized the truck and registered a case against the driver.
